THE BOG GARDEN

This evolved after a large flood left deposits of debris in the creek. The blockage caused the water to spread wide over the surrounding area. A further flood (a periodic occurrence here) widened the creek again and so now in the dry periods the bog garden has to be topped up. A collection of Iris, Hostas and Primulas are the main feature plantings interspersed with a number of other moisture loving plants.
